Van Dyke – Home Renovation

Type: Home Remodel
Demonstrating a dedication to a successful outcome
Originally intended as an interior remodel of the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms, this single-family residence project also included a new covered front patio and a rear deck addition. However, unforeseen issues revealed the necessity of replacing the existing roof framing with pre-manufactured trusses. This structural change consequently led to minor adjustments in the interior wall layout.
Our Role
Demonstrating a dedication to a successful outcome, MDEP collaborated closely with the contractor and homeowner to navigate the structural and design impacts of these modifications. This cooperative strategy ensured the project progressed while largely preserving the homeowner’s design aspirations. Moreover, MDEP assumed responsibility for managing, and took charge of overseeing, the permitting process, which involved securing the required approvals and fulfilling all stipulations related to the plan revisions. This proactive approach guaranteed ongoing adherence to local building codes and regulations.
