Modern Design, Engineered for Living
This striking two-story custom home—spanning over 5,000 square feet—represents the next generation of Southern California residential design. With clean architectural lines, expansive spaces, and a bold modern aesthetic, the project demanded a structural engineering approach that could balance innovation with long-term resilience.
Working in partnership with G Coleman Architect, MDEP was brought on to develop the full structural plans for this new build. From concept to calculation, our team helped bring the vision for this home to life—ensuring its beauty was matched by integrity and performance.
Our Role
MDEP provided structural design and analysis for the entire residence, including:
- Framing and support systems for open-concept interior layouts
- Reinforced foundation and lateral systems for seismic compliance
- Strategic coordination with architectural and permitting teams
- Solutions that met the aesthetic goals without compromising safety
This was a collaborative process that showcased the trust between architect and engineer—and MDEP’s ability to turn high-design residential plans into practical, buildable systems.
A Showcase of Structural Design in Housing
This project is a strong example of MDEP’s residential capabilities. While our portfolio spans large-scale commercial and cultural projects, we bring the same level of technical rigor and attention to detail to private homes.
By partnering with firms like G Coleman Architect, MDEP is proud to contribute to the growing landscape of modern, code-compliant, high-performance homes in the region.
